Exodus 16-18

Yahweh Rains Bread from Heaven

Yahweh Gives Meat and Bread
[13] So it happened at evening that the quails came up and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. [14] Then the layer of dew evaporated, and behold, on the surface of the wilderness there was a fine flake-like thing, fine as the frost on the ground. [Exo 16:13-14 LSB]

[21] So they gathered it morning by morning, every man as much as he should eat; but the sun would grow hot, and it would melt. [Exo 16:21 LSB]

Yahweh Gives Bread for Two Days
[31] And the house of Israel named it manna, and it was like coriander seed, white, and its taste was like wafers with honey. [Exo 16:31 LSB]

Water from the Rock
[6] "Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. [7] So he named the place Massah and Meribah because of the contending of the sons of Israel, and because they tested Yahweh, saying, "Is Yahweh among us or not?" [Exo 17:6-7 LSB]

Israel Overwhelms Amalek
[15] And Moses built an altar and named it Yahweh is My Banner; [16] and he said, "Because He [has sworn] with a hand upon the throne of Yah, Yahweh will have war against Amalek from generation to generation." [Exo 17:15-16 LSB]

Today was a special day! Tim's family and Esther with her friend visited us. We had a great time together. I especially enjoyed playing with my grandson. We played Yut. I taught him how to play Go. He asked me to play Dr. Seuss' songs on the piano but I did not know the songs and could not play. They also did Sebai to us. God, thank you for the family.
