The Generations of Shem, Ham, and Japheth
[1] Now these are the generations of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah; and sons were born to them after the flood. [Gen 10:1 LSB]
[32] These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood. [Gen 10:32 LSB]
The Tower of Babel
[1] Now the whole earth had the same language and the same words. [Gen 11:1 LSB]
[5] Then Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. [6] And Yahweh said, "Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they have begun to do. So now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them. [7] "Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another's language." [8] So Yahweh scattered them from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city. [9] Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Yahweh confused the language of the whole earth; and from there Yahweh scattered them over the face of the whole earth. [Gen 11:5-9 LSB]
The Generations of Shem
The Generations of Terah
[31] And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went out together from Ur of the Chaldeans in order to go to the land of Canaan; and they came as far as Haran and settled there. [Gen 11:31 LSB]
Yahweh Appears to Abram
[1] And Yahweh said to Abram, "Go forth from your land, And from your kin And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; [Gen 12:1 LSB]
[2] And Stephen said: "Brothers and fathers, hear me. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran, [3] and said to him, 'Go out from your land and from your kindred and go into the land that I will show you.' [Act 7:2-3 ESV]
[2] And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; [3] And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." [Gen 12:2-3 LSB]
Abram and Sarai in Egypt
[13] "Please say that you are my sister so that it may go well with me because of you, and that I may live on account of you." [Gen 12:13 LSB]
[19] "Why did you say, 'She is my sister,' so that I took her for myself as a wife? So now, here is your wife, take her and go." [20] So Pharaoh commanded [his] men concerning him; and they sent him away with his wife and all that belonged to him. [Gen 12:19-20 LSB]
