Israel at Sinai

[4] 'You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and [how] I lifted you up on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself. [5] 'So now then, if you will indeed listen to My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; [6] and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' [9] But you are A CHOSEN FAMILY, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR [God's] OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; [1Pe 2:9 LSB]

[5] "But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out as a free man,' [6] then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost.
