Jer 40:2-3 LSB - 

[2] And the captain of the bodyguard had taken Jeremiah and said to him, "Yahweh your God promised this calamity against this place; 

[3] and Yahweh has brought [it] on and done just as He promised. Because you [people] sinned against Yahweh and did not listen to His voice, therefore this thing has happened to you.

[21] So I have told you today, but you have not listened to the voice of Yahweh your God, even according to all that He has sent me to [tell] you. 

[22] So now, you should clearly know that you will die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, in the place where you desire to go to sojourn.
