Jeremiah 22-24

O Land, Hear Yahweh

Jer 22:5 LSB - [5] "But if you will not obey these words, I swear by Myself," declares Yahweh, "that this house will become a waste place."'"

Jer 22:30 LSB - 

[30] "Thus says Yahweh, 

'Write this man down childless, 

A man who will not succeed in his days; 

For no man of his seed will succeed 

Sitting on the throne of David 

Or ruling again in Judah.'"

The Righteous Branch

Jer 23:3-4 LSB - 

[3] "Then I Myself will gather the remnant of My flock out of all the land where I have banished them and cause them to return to their pasture, and they will be fruitful and multiply. 

[4] "I will also raise up shepherds over them, and they will shepherd them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be left unattended," declares Yahweh.

Jer 23:5-6 LSB - 

[5] "Behold, [the] days are coming," declares Yahweh, 

"When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; 

And He will reign as king and prosper 

And do justice and righteousness in the land. 

[6] "In His days Judah will be saved, 

And Israel will dwell securely; 

And this is His name by which He will be called, 

'Yahweh our righteousness.'

False Prophets Condemned

Jer 23:29 LSB - [29] "Is not My word like fire?" declares Yahweh, "and like a hammer which shatters a rock?

The Good and the Rotten Figs

Jer 24:5-7 LSB

[5] “Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, ‘Like these good figs, so I will recognize as good the exiles of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans.

[6] ‘For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will return them to this land; and I will build them up and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not uproot them.

[7] ‘I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am Yahweh; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.
