Hosea 6-10

Israel Chastised

[1] "Come, let us return to Yahweh. For He has torn [us], but He will heal us; He has struck [us], but He will bandage us.
[2] "He will make us alive after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him.
[3] "So let us know, let us pursue to know Yahweh. His going forth is established as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, Like the late rain watering the earth."

[6] For I delight in lovingkindness rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. [Hos 6:6 LSB]

Israel Reaps the Whirlwind

[13] As for My sacrificial gifts, They sacrifice the flesh and eat [it], [But] Yahweh has not accepted them. Now He will remember their iniquity And punish [them] for their sins; They will return to Egypt. [Hos 8:13 LSB]

[68] "And Yahweh will bring you back to Egypt in ships, by the way about which I spoke to you, 'You will never see it again!' And there you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer." [Deu 28:68 LSB]

 

Days of Punishment Have Come

[8] Ephraim [was] a watchman with my God, a prophet; [Yet] the snare of a bird catcher is in all his ways, [And] there is [only] hostility in the house of his God. [Hos 9:8 LSB]

[8] The prophet is the watchman of Ephraim with my God; yet a fowler's snare is on all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God. [Hos 9:8 ESV]

Grapes in the Wilderness

[17] My God will despise them Because they have not listened to Him; And they will be those who flee among the nations. [Hos 9:17 LSB]

You Have Sinned, O Israel

[10] When it is My desire, I will chastise them; And the peoples will be gathered against them When they are bound for their double guilt. [Hos 10:10 LSB]

The Trained Heifer

[12] Sow with a view to righteousness, Reap in accordance with lovingkindness; Break up your fallow ground, Indeed, it is time to seek Yahweh Until He comes and rains righteousness on you. [Hos 10:12 LSB]
