1 Corinthians 10-12

Temptation and God’s Faithfulness

[23] All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things build up. [1Co 10:23 LSB]

[31] Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. [1Co 10:31 LSB]

Head Coverings

[3] But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. [1Co 11:3 LSB]

[4] Every man who has [something] on his head while praying or prophesying, shames his head. [1Co 11:4 LSB]

[5] But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying, shames her head, for she is one and the same as the woman whose head is shaved. [1Co 11:5 LSB]

The Lord’s Supper

[23] For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was being betrayed took bread,
[24] and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me."
[25] In the same way [He took] the cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink [it], in remembrance of Me."
[1Co 11:23-25 LSB]

[26] For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until He comes. [1Co 11:26 LSB]

Concerning Spiritual Gifts

[4] Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
[5] And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
[6] And there are varieties of workings, but the same God who works everything in everyone.
[1Co 12:4-6 LSB]

[27] Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it. [1Co 12:27 LSB]
