Nehemiah Prays for the Sons of Israel
Neh 1:4-6 LSB -
[4] Now it happened that when I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
[5] I said, "I beseech You, O Yahweh, the God of heaven, the great and fearsome God, who keeps the covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments,
[6] let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the prayer of Your slave which I am praying before You today, day and night, on behalf of the sons of Israel Your slaves, confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You; I and my father's house have sinned.
Neh 1:11 LSB - [11] "O Lord, I beseech You, may Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your slave and the prayer of Your slaves who delight to fear Your name, and make Your slave successful today and grant him compassion before this man." Now I was the cupbearer to the king.
God’s Hand Was on Nehemiah
Neh 2:4 LSB - [4] Then the king said to me, "What would you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven.
Nehemiah Inspects Jerusalem’s Walls
Neh 2:18 LSB - [18] And I told them how the hand of my God had been good to me and also about the king's words which he had said to me. Then they said, "Let us arise and build." So they strengthened their hands for the good [work].
Building and Repairing the Wall
Neh 3:12 LSB - [12] Next to him Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the official of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs, he and his daughters.
