The Locusts Bring Desolation

Joe 1:4 LSB - [4] What the gnawing locust has left, the swarming locust has consumed; And what the swarming locust has left, the creeping locust has consumed; And what the creeping locust has left, the stripping locust has consumed.

Joe 1:12 LSB - [12] The vine dries up, And the fig tree fails; The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree, All the trees of the field dry up. Indeed, rejoicing dries up From the sons of men.

The Day of Yahweh Is Near

Joe 1:15 LSB - [15] Alas for the day! For the day of Yahweh is near, And it will come as destruction from the Almighty.

Joe 1:19 LSB - [19] To You, O Yahweh, I cry; For fire has consumed the pastures of the wilderness, And the flame has burned up all the trees of the field.

Joe 2:1 LSB - [1] Blow a trumpet in Zion, And make a loud shout on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of Yahweh is coming; Surely it is near,

Joe 2:11 LSB - [11] But Yahweh gives forth His voice before His military force; Surely His camp is very numerous, For mighty is he who does His word. The day of Yahweh is indeed great and very awesome, And who can endure it?

Return to Yahweh

Joe 2:12-14 LSB -
[12] "Yet even now," declares Yahweh, "Return to Me with all your heart And with fasting, weeping, and wailing;
[13] And tear your heart and not your garments." Now return to Yahweh your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness, And relenting concerning evil.
[14] Who knows whether He will [not] turn and relent And leave a blessing behind Him, [Even] a grain offering and a drink offering For Yahweh your God?

Act 2:38 LSB - [38] And Peter [said] to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Yahweh Will Spare His People

Joe 2:18 LSB - [18] Then Yahweh will be zealous for His land And will spare His people.

Joe 2:27 LSB - [27] "Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am Yahweh your God, And there is no other; And My people will never be put to shame.

Yahweh Will Pour Out His Spirit

Joe 2:28-29 LSB - 

[28] "And it will be afterwards That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy; Your old men will dream dreams; Your young men will see visions. 

[29] "Even on the male slaves and female slaves I will in those days pour out My Spirit.

Act 2:16-18 LSB - 

[16] but this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel: 

[17] 'AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,' God says, 'THAT I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS;

[18] EVEN ON MY MALE SLAVES AND FEMALE SLAVES, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR OUT MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy.

Deliverance in the Day of Yahweh

Joe 2:32 LSB - [32] "And it will be that everyone who calls on the name of Yahweh Will be delivered; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape, As Yahweh has said, Even among the survivors whom Yahweh calls.

Yahweh Will Judge the Nations

Joe 3:1-2 LSB - 

[1] "For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 

[2] I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.

Yahweh Dwells in Zion

Joe 3:18 LSB - [18] And it will be in that day, [That] the mountains will drip with sweet wine, And the hills will flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; And a spring will go out from the house of Yahweh To water the valley of Shittim.
