Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God

Psa 51:1 LSB - [1] Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; 

According to the abundance of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.

Psa 51:2 LSB - [2] Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity And cleanse me from my sin.

Psa 51:10-12 LSB - [10] Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. 

[11] Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 

[12] Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.

Psa 51:17 LSB - [17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

I Trust in the Lovingkindness of God

Psa 52:7 LSB - [7] "Behold, the man who would not set God as his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches [And] was strong in his destruction."

Psa 52:8-9 LSB - 

[8] But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; 

I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. 

[9] I will give You thanks forever, because You have done [it], 

And I will hope on Your name, for [it is] good, in the presence of Your holy ones.

There Is No One Who Does Good

Psa 53:1 LSB - [1] The wicked fool says in his heart, "There is no God," 

They act corruptly, and commit abominable injustice; 

There is no one who does good.

Psa 53:2-3 LSB - 

[2] God looks down from heaven upon the sons of men 

To see if there is anyone who has insight, 

Anyone who seeks after God. 

[3] Every one of them has turned back; together they have become worthless; 

There is no one who does good, not even one.

Rom 3:9-12 LSB -

[9] What then? Are we better? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;

[10] as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;

[11] THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;

[12] ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME WORTHLESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."

 

God Is My Helper

Psa 54:1 LSB - [1] When the Ziphites came and said to Saul, "Is not David hiding himself among us?" O God, save me by Your name, And render justice to me by Your might.

Psa 54:4 ESV - [4] Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.

He Will Never Allow the Righteous to Be Shaken

Psa 55:13-14 LSB - [13] But it is you, a man my equal, My close companion and my familiar friend; [14] We who had sweet counsel together Walked in the house of God in the throng.

Psa 41:9 LSB - [9] Even my close friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.

Psa 55:16-17 LSB - [16] As for me, I shall call upon God, And Yahweh will save me. [17] Evening and morning and at noon, I will bring my complaint and moan, And He will hear my voice.

Psa 55:22 LSB - [22] Cast your burden upon Yahweh and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
