God Is Our Refuge and Strength

God is our refuge and strength, 

A very present help in trouble.

Psa 145:18 LSB - [18] QOPH

Yahweh is near to all who call upon Him,

To all who call upon Him in truth.

Psa 46:10 LSB -
[10] "Cease [striving] and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

God Is King of All the Earth

O clap your hands, all peoples;
Make a loud shout to God with the sound of a shout of joy.

Psa 98:4 LSB - [4]

Make a loud shout to Yahweh, all the earth;

Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.

 

Zion, the City of Our God

Psa 48:1 LSB - [1] A Song. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.
Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised,
In the city of our God, His holy mountain.

Psa 48:12-14 ESV -

[12] Walk about Zion, go around her, number her towers,

[13] consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels, that you may tell the next generation

[14] that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.

Why Should I Fear in Days of Evil?

Psa 49:12 ESV - [12] Man in his pomp will not remain; 

he is like the beasts that perish.

Psa 49:15 LSB - [15] But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, For He will receive me. Selah.

Psa 49:20 ESV - [20] Man in his pomp yet without understanding is like the beasts that perish.

God Himself Is Judge

Psa 50:14-15 LSB - 

[14] "Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving 

And pay your vows to the Most High; 

[15] Call upon Me in the day of distress; 

I shall rescue you, and you will glorify Me."

Psa 50:23 ESV - [23] The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!"
