You Are a Priest Forever - Psalm 107-110

Yahweh Saves in Times of Trouble

[1] Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good, For His lovingkindness endures forever. [Psa 107:1 LSB]

[9] For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good. [Psa 107:9 LSB]

[13] Then they cried out to Yahweh in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses.
[14] He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death And broke their bands apart.
[15] Let them give thanks to Yahweh for His lovingkindness, And for His wondrous deeds to the sons of men! [Psa 107:13-15 LSB]

[25] He spoke and set up a stormy wind, Which raised up the waves of the sea.
[26] They went up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; Their soul melted away in [the] calamity.
[27] They staggered and swayed like a drunken man, And all their wisdom was swallowed up.
[28] Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.
[29] He caused the storm to stand still, So that its waves were hushed.
[30] Then they were glad because they were quiet, So He led them to their desired haven. [Psa 107:25-30 LSB]

He Will Tread Down Our Adversaries

[12] Oh give us help against the adversary, For salvation by man is worthless.
[13] Through God we shall do valiantly, And it is He who will tread down our adversaries. [Psa 108:12-13 LSB]

O God, Do Not Be Silent

[4] In return for my love they accuse me; But I am [in] prayer. [Psa 109:4 LSB]

[30] With my mouth I will give thanks abundantly to Yahweh; And in the midst of many I will praise Him. [31] For He stands at the right hand of the needy, To save him from those who judge his soul. [Psa 109:30-31 LSB]

You Are a Priest Forever

[1] Of David. A Psalm. Yahweh says to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand Until I put Your enemies as a footstool for Your feet." [Psa 110:1 LSB]

[3] who is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power; who, having accomplished cleansing for sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, ...
[13] But to which of the angels has He ever said, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES AS A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET"? [Heb 1:3, 13 LSB]

[1] Now the main point in what is being said [is this]: we have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, [Heb 8:1 LSB]

[12] but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, [13] waiting from that time UNTIL HIS ENEMIES ARE PUT AS A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. [Heb 10:12-13 LSB]

[2] fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. [Heb 12:2 LSB]

[4] Yahweh has sworn and will not change His mind, "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek." [Psa 110:4 LSB]

[6] just as He says also in another [passage], "YOU ARE A PRIEST FOREVER ACCORDING TO THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK." ...
[10] being designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek. [Heb 5:6, 10 LSB]

[20] where a forerunner has entered for us--Jesus, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. [Heb 6:20 LSB]

[11] Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the people received the Law), what further need [was there] for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be designated according to the order of Aaron? ...
[15] And this is clearer still, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, ... [17] For it is witnessed [about Him], "YOU ARE A PRIEST FOREVER ACCORDING TO THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK." ...
[21] (for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him, "THE LORD HAS SWORN AND WILL NOT CHANGE HIS MIND, 'YOU ARE A PRIEST FOREVER'"); [Heb 7:11, 15, 17, 21 LSB]
