Where Can I Go from Your Spirit? - Palsm 136-140

His Lovingkindness Endures Forever

[Psa 136:1 LSB]
Give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good, For His lovingkindness endures forever.

[Psa 136:25 LSB]
Who gives food to all flesh, For His lovingkindness endures forever.

[Psa 136:26 LSB]
Give thanks to the God of heaven, For His lovingkindness endures forever.

We Wept When We Remembered Zion

[Psa 137:1 LSB]
By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat and also wept, When we remembered Zion.

[Psa 137:9 LSB]
How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your infants Against the cliff.

[Isa 13:9 LSB]
Behold, the day of Yahweh is coming, Cruel, with fury and burning anger, To make the land a desolation; And He will exterminate its sinners from it.
[Isa 13:15 LSB]
Anyone who is found will be pierced through, And anyone who is captured will fall by the sword.
[Isa 13:16 LSB]
Their infants also will be dashed to pieces Before their eyes; Their houses will be plundered And their wives ravished.

I Will Give Thanks to Your Name

[Psa 138:1 LSB]
Of David. I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing praises to You before the gods.

[Psa 138:2 LSB]
I will worship toward Your holy temple And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.

[Psa 138:3 LSB]
On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul.

Where Can I Go from Your Spirit?

[Psa 139:1-2 LSB]
[1] For the choir director. Of David. A Psalm. O Yahweh, You have searched me and known [me]. [2] You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar.

[Psa 139:6-8 LSB]
[6] [Such] knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is [too] high, I cannot attain to it. [7] Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? [8] If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

[Psa 139:13-16 LSB]
[13] For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. [14] I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. [15] My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, [And] intricately woven in the depths of the earth; [16] Your eyes have seen my unshaped substance; And in Your book all of them were written The days that were formed [for me], When as yet there was not one of them.

Rescue Me, O Yahweh, from Evil Men

[Psa 140:10 LSB]
[10] "May burning coals be shaken out upon them; May He cause them to fall into the fire, Into bottomless pits from which they can never rise.

[Rom 12:20 LSB] [20] "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD."
