The Glory of Yahweh Fills His House - 2 Chronicles 7-9

The Glory of Yahweh Fills His House

[1] Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of Yahweh filled the house. [2Ch 7:1 LSB]

[34] Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle. [35] And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had dwelt on it, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle. [Exo 40:34-35 LSB]

Offerings for the House of Yahweh

[10] And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people to their tents, with gladness and goodness of heart because of the goodness that Yahweh had shown to David and to Solomon and to Israel His people. [2Ch 7:10 LSB]

Yahweh Appears to Solomon

[19] "But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,
[20] then I will uproot you from My land which I have given you, and this house which I have set apart as holy for My name I will cast out of My presence and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. [2Ch 7:19-20 LSB]

Solomon Builds Cities

[11] Then Solomon brought Pharaoh's daughter up from the city of David to the house which he had built for her, for he said, "My wife shall not live in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy where the ark of Yahweh has entered." [2Ch 8:11 LSB]

[7] Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable idol of Moab, on the mountain which is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the detestable idol of the sons of Ammon.
[8] Thus also he did for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods. [1Ki 11:7-8 LSB]

The Queen of Sheba

[7] "How blessed are your men, how blessed are these your servants who stand before you continually and hear your wisdom. [2Ch 9:7 LSB]

[12] Thus King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire which she asked, besides [a return for] what she had brought to the king. Then she turned around and went to her own land together with her servants. [2Ch 9:12 LSB]

Solomon’s Riches and Wisdom

[20] Now all King Solomon's drinking vessels [were] of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon [were] of pure gold; silver was not considered valuable in the days of Solomon. [2Ch 9:20 LSB]

[23] And all the kings of the earth were seeking the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom which God had put in his heart. [2Ch 9:23 LSB]
