The Seventy Sent Out
[2] And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the
Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. [Luk 10:2 LSB]
The Joyful Results
[20] "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven." [Luk 10:20 LSB]
[22] "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal [Him]." [Luk 10:22 LSB]
The Good Samaritan
[29] But wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" [Luk 10:29 LSB]
[36] "Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers' [hands]?"

Martha and Mary

The Lord’s Prayer
[2] And He said to them, "When you pray, say: 'Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. [3] 'Give us each day our daily bread.

[38] "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow
rivers of living water.'"

A Kingdom Divided

The Sign of Jonah

[39] But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation eagerly seeks for a sign; and [yet] no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet;

Woes to the Pharisees and Lawyers
[49] "For this reason also the wisdom of God said, 'I will send to them prophets and apostles, and [some] of them they will kill and [some] they will persecute,
[50] so that the blood of all the prophets, shed since the foundation of the world, may be charged against this generation,
[51] from the blood of
Abel to the blood of
Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the house [of God]; yes, I tell you, it shall be charged against this generation.' [Luk 11:49-51 LSB]
[52] "Woe to you, scholars of the Law! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who were entering." [Luk 11:52 LSB]
Fear Only God
[4] "But I say to you, My friends, do not fear those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do.
[5] "But I will show you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him! [Luk 12:4-5 LSB]
Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit
[8] "And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God,
[9] but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
[10] "And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him, but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him.
[11] "Now when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say,
[12] for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say." [Luk 12:8-12 LSB]
Parable of the Rich Fool
[19] 'And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years [to come]; take your ease, eat, drink [and] be merry."'
[20] "But God said to him, 'You fool! This [very] night your soul is required of you; and [now] who will own what you prepared?'
[21] "So is the one who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." [Luk 12:19-21 LSB]
Do Not Worry
[22] And He said to His disciples, "For this reason I say to you, do not worry about [your] life, [as to] what you will eat; nor for your body, [as to] what you will put on. [Luk 12:22 LSB]
[33] "Sell your possessions and give [it] as charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys.

Be Ready for His Coming
[36] "And be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open [the door] to him when he comes and knocks. [Luk 12:35-36 LSB]
Not Peace, but Division
[51] "Do you think that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division;
[52] for from now on five [members] in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three. [Luk 12:51-52 LSB]
