Galatians 4-6

Sonship in Christ

[6] And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" [7] Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God. [Gal 4:6-7 LSB]

[15] For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received [the] Spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry out, "Abba! Father!" [16] The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, [17] and if children, also heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with [Him] so that we may also be glorified with [Him]. An Allegory of Two Covenants

[28] And you brothers, in accordance with Isaac, are children of promise. ... [31] So then, brothers, we are not children of a servant-woman, but of the free woman. [Gal 4:28, 31 LSB]

Christ Set Us Free

[1] It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, stand firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. [Gal 5:1 LSB]

[5] For we through the Spirit, by faith, are eagerly waiting for the hope of righteousness. [6] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love. [Gal 5:5-6 LSB]

Walk by the Spirit

[16] But I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. [Gal 5:16 LSB]

[24] Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. [Gal 5:24 LSB]

[6] knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [Him], in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; [Rom 6:6 LSB]

Bear One Another’s Burdens

[1] Brothers, even if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, [each of you] looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. [2] Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. [Gal 6:1-2 LSB]

[8] For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. [Gal 6:8 LSB]
