Acts 19-21

Paul in Ephesus

[4] Then Paul said, "John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus."
[5] And when they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
[6] And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they [began] speaking with tongues and prophesying.
[Act 19:4-6 LSB]

[9] But when some were becoming hardened and were not believing, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, he left them and took away the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
[Act 19:9 LSB]

Miracles in Ephesus

[11] And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,
[12] so that cloths or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.
[Act 19:11-12 LSB]

[19] And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and were burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
[20] So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.
[Act 19:19-20 LSB]

Riots in Ephesus

[21] Now after these things were finished, Paul purposed in the Spirit to go to Jerusalem after he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, saying, "After I have been there, I must also see Rome."
[Act 19:21 LSB]

[21] but taking leave of them and saying, "I will return to you again if God wills," he set sail from Ephesus.
[Act 18:21 LSB]

[37] MEM
Who is there who speaks and it happens, Unless the Lord has commanded [it]?
[Lam 3:37 LSB]

Through Macedonia and Greece

Eutychus Raised from the Dead in Troas

[9] And there was a young man named Eutychus sitting on the windowsill, sinking into a deep sleep. And as Paul kept on talking, he sunk into that sleep and fell down from the third floor and was picked up dead.
[10] But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be troubled, for his life is in him."
[11] And when he had gone [back] up and had broken the bread and eaten, he talked with them a long while until daybreak, and then left.
[12] And they took away the boy alive, and were not a little comforted.
[Act 20:4, 9-12 LSB]

Paul’s Farewell to the Ephesian Elders

[17] Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called to him the elders of the church.
[18] And when they had come to him, he said to them, "You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you the whole time,
[19] serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials which came upon me through the plots of the Jews;
[20] how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house,
[21] solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
[Act 20:17-21 LSB]

[22] "And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,
[23] except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that chains and afflictions await me.
[Act 20:22-23 LSB]

[24] "But I do not make my life of any account nor dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God. [Act 20:24 LSB]

[13] Brothers, I do not consider myself as having laid hold of [it] yet, but one thing [I do]: forgetting what [lies] behind and reaching forward to what [lies] ahead,
[14] I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
[Phl 3:13-14 LSB]

[26] "Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all.
[27] "For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.
[Act 20:26-27 LSB]

[36] And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.
[Act 20:36 LSB]

[41] And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and [began to] pray, [Luk 22:41 LSB]

Paul Sets Out for Jerusalem

[5] And when our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, escorted us until [we were] out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another. [Act 21:5 LSB]

[13] Then Paul answered, "What are you doing, crying and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." [Act 21:13 LSB]

In Jerusalem

[26] Then Paul took the men, and the next day, purifying himself along with them, went into the temple giving notice of the completion of the days of purification, until the sacrifice was offered for each one of them. [Act 21:26 LSB]
