Deuteronomy 10-12

The Tablets Rewritten

Circumcise Your Heart

[16] "So circumcise your heart, and stiffen your neck no longer. [Deu 10:16 LSB]

[28] For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. [29] But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God. [Rom 2:28-29 LSB]

Love and Serve Yahweh

[18] "You shall therefore place these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as phylacteries between your eyes. [19] "And you shall teach them to your sons, speaking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. A Blessing and a Curse

[26] "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: [Deu 11:26 LSB]

Yahweh’s Chosen Place of Worship

[11] Then it will be that the place in which Yahweh your God will choose for His name to dwell, there you shall bring all that I am commanding you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution of your hand, and all your choice votive offerings which you will vow to Yahweh. [12] "And you shall be glad before Yahweh your God, you and your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levite who is within your gates, since he has no portion or inheritance with you.
