Lead on, O King Eternal, The day of march has come
1 Lead on, O King eternal, the day of march has come;henceforth in fields of conquestyour tents will be our home.Through days of preparationyour grace has made us strong;and now, O King eternal,we lift our battle song.2 Lead on, O King eternal, till sin's fierce war shall cease, and holiness shall whisperthe sweet amen of peace. For not with swords' loud clashingor roll of stirring drumswith deeds of love and mercythe heavenly kingdom comes.3 Lead on, O King eternal;we follow, not with fears, for gladness breaks like morningwhere'er your face appears.Your cross is lifted o'er us,we journey in its light;the crown awaits the conquest;lead on, O God of might.

Sonship in Christ
Gal 4:4-5 LSB - [4] But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, [5] so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
Gal 4:6-7 LSB - [6] And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" [7] Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Walk by the Spirit
Strange and mysterious is my life,What opposites I feel within!A stable peace, a constant strife,The rule of grace, the pow’r of sin:
Too often I am captive led,Yet daily triumph in my Head.
I prize the privilege of prayer,But o! what backwardness to pray!Though on the LORD I cast my care,I feel its burden every day:
I seek his will in all I do,Yet find my own is working too.
I call the promises my own,And prize them more than mines of gold;Yet though their sweetness I have known,They leave me unimpressed and cold
One hour upon the truth I feed,The next I know not what I read.
I love the holy day of rest,When Jesus meets his gathered saints;Sweet day, of all the week the best! For its return my spirit pants:
Yet often, through my unbelief,It proves a day of guilt and grief.
While on my Savior I rely,I know my foes shall loose their aim;And therefore dare their pow’r defy,Assured of conquest through his name:
But soon my confidence is slain,And all my fears return again.
Thus different pow’rs within me strive,And grace, and sin, by turns prevail;I grieve, rejoice, decline, revive,And vict’ry hangs in doubtful scale:
But JESUS has his promise passed,That grace shall overcome at last.

Galatians 1-3 - Gospel of Christ
Greetings and Grace
Distorting the Gospel
Paul Called by God
Paul Accepted by the Apostles
Paul Opposes Peter (Cephas)
The Law is holy, just and good,And each command we should obey; For Moses wrote the very thingsThe Lord requires of us today. But none have kept, with perfect heart,The Ten Commands from Sinai heard,For we are weak, and break the Law,In daily thought and deed and word. The Savior kept the perfect Law,For us He bore the guilt of sin;He died to pay the debt we owe,He lives to make us pure within. The Gospel is the blessèd newsOf pardon bought, at highest cost;Redemption now is full and free,And none who trust Him shall be lost. Then justified by faith are we,By grace and mercy from above; And peace with God, thro’ Jesus Christ,Is ours thro’ His redeeming love.We long to be like Christ our Lord,For be ye holy is His word;We long to spread the glad good newsWhich our rejoicing hearts have heard.

Not all the blood of beasts
Isaac Watts (1674-1748)
1 Not all the blood of beasts,
On Jewish altars slain,
Could give the guilty conscience peace,
Or wash away its stain.2 But Christ, the heavenly Lamb,
Takes all our sins away;
A sacrifice of nobler name,
And richer blood than they.3 My faith would lay her hand
On that dear head of Thine,
While like a penitent I stand,
And there confess my sin.4 My soul looks back to see
The burdens Thou didst bear
When hanging on the cursed tree,
And knows her guilt was there.5 Believing, we rejoice
To see the curse remove;
We bless the Lamb with cheerful voice,
And sing His bleeding love.

Hebrews 10-13 - Draw Near with a Sincere Heart in Full Assurance of Faith
Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All
Psa 40:6-8 LSB -[6] Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired; My ears You have opened;Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required.[7] Then I said, "Behold, I come;In the scroll of the book it is written of me.[8] "I desire to do Your will, O my God;Your law is within my inner being."
Heb 10:10 LSB - [10] By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:12-14 LSB - [12] but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, [13] waiting from that time UNTIL HIS ENEMIES ARE PUT AS A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. [14] For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
Heb 10:15-17 LSB - [15] And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying, [16] "THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM," [He then says], [17] "AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."
Jer 31:33-34 LSB -
[33] "But this is the covenant which I will cut with the house of Israel after those days," declares Yahweh: "I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
[34] "And they will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know Yahweh,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares Yahweh, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
A New and Living Way
[19] Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus,
[20] by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
[21] and since [we have] a great priest over the house of God,
[22] let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
[23] Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
[24] And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
[25] not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging [one another], and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

By Faith
Heb 11:13 LSB - [13] All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
Heb 11:17-19 LSB - [17] By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only [son], [18] to whom it was said, "IN ISAAC YOUR SEED SHALL BE CALLED." [19] He considered that God is able to raise [people] even from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he also received him back.
Heb 11:39-40 LSB - [39] And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised, [40] because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect.
