The Priests’ Garments

Exo 28:4 LSB - [4] "These are the garments which they shall make: a breastpiece and an ephod and a robe and a tunic of checkered work, a turban and a sash, and they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, in order for him to minister as priest to Me.

Exo 28:9, 12 LSB - [9] "You shall take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel, ... [12] "You shall put the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, [as] stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, and Aaron shall bear their names before Yahweh on his two shoulders for remembrance.

Exo 28:15 LSB - [15] "You shall make a breastpiece of judgment, the work of a skillful designer; like the work of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, of blue and purple and scarlet [material] and fine twisted linen you shall make it.

Exo 28:21 LSB - [21] "The stones shall be according to the names of the sons of Israel: twelve, according to their names; they shall be [like] the engravings of a signet, each according to his name for the twelve tribes.

Exo 28:30 LSB - [30] "You shall put in the breastpiece of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron's heart when he comes in before Yahweh; and Aaron shall carry the judgment of the sons of Israel over his heart before Yahweh continually.

Exo 28:35 LSB - [35] "It shall be on Aaron when he ministers; and its sound shall be heard when he comes into the holy place before Yahweh and when he goes out, so that he will not die.

Exo 28:37-38 LSB - [37] "You shall fasten it on a blue cord, and it shall be on the turban; it shall be at the front of the turban. [38] "It shall be on Aaron's forehead, and Aaron shall take away the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel set apart as holy, with regard to all their holy gifts; and it shall continually be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before Yahweh.

Setting Apart the Priests

Exo 29:1-2 LSB - [1] "Now this is what you shall do to them to set them apart as holy to minister as priests to Me: take one bull from the herd and two rams without blemish, [2] and unleavened bread and unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil; you shall make them of fine wheat flour.

Exo 29:7 LSB - [7] "Then you shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.

Exo 29:9 LSB - [9] "You shall gird them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and bind caps on them, and they shall have the priesthood by a perpetual statute. So you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.

Slaughtering the Offerings

Exo 29:10-11 LSB - [10] "Then you shall bring the bull near before the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull. [11] "You shall slaughter the bull before Yahweh at the doorway of the tent of meeting.

Exo 29:19-20 LSB - [19] "Then you shall take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram. [20] "You shall slaughter the ram, and take some of its blood and put [it] on the lobe of Aaron's right ear and on the lobes of his sons' right ears and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet, and splash the [rest of the] blood around on the altar.

Yahweh Will Meet and Speak to Israel

Exo 29:42-43 LSB - [42] "It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the doorway of the tent of meeting before Yahweh, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. [43] "I will meet there with the sons of Israel, and it shall be set apart as holy by My glory.

The Altar of Incense

Exo 30:1 LSB - [1] "Moreover, you shall make an altar as a place for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood.

Exo 30:6 LSB - [6] "You shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with you.

Exo 30:9 LSB - [9] "You shall not offer any strange incense on this altar or burnt offering or grain offering; and you shall not pour out a drink offering on it.

Lev 10:1-2 LSB - [1] Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took their respective firepans and put fire in them. Then they placed incense on it and offered strange fire before Yahweh, which He had not commanded them. [2] And fire came out from the presence of Yahweh and consumed them, and they died before Yahweh.

The Census and the Atonement Price

Exo 30:15 LSB - [15] "The rich shall not pay more and the poor shall not pay less than the half shekel when you give the contribution to Yahweh to make atonement for your souls.

The Laver for the Priestly Washing

Exo 30:19 LSB - [19] "And Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it;

The Holy Anointing Oil

Exo 30:31 LSB - [31] "And you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.

The Incense

Exo 30:37 LSB - [37] "The incense which you shall make, you shall not make in the same specifications for yourselves; it shall be holy to you for Yahweh.
