David’s Lament for Saul and Jonathan - 2 Samuel 1-3

Saul and Jonathan Are Dead

[14] Then David said to him, "How is it you were not afraid to send forth your hand to destroy the anointed of Yahweh?"
[2Sa 1:14 LSB]

[8] With him I speak mouth to mouth, Indeed clearly, and not in riddles, And he beholds the form of Yahweh. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant, against Moses?"
[Num 12:8 LSB]

David’s Lament for Saul and Jonathan

[26] "I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; You have been very pleasant to me. Your love to me was more wonderful Than the love of women.
[2Sa 1:26 LSB]

[1] Now it happened when he had finished speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
[1Sa 18:1 LSB]
