A Brother Offended - Proverbs 16-18

Contrast of the Righteous and the Wicked

[4] Yahweh has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil.
[Pro 16:4 LSB]

[6] By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, And by the fear of Yahweh one turns away from evil.
[Pro 16:6 LSB]

[9] The heart of man plans his way, But Yahweh directs his steps.
[Pro 16:9 LSB]

[6] Grandchildren are the crown of old men, And the beauty of sons is their fathers.
[Pro 17:6 LSB]

[27] He who holds back his words has knowledge, And he who has a cool spirit is a man of discernment. [28] Even an ignorant fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is [considered] understanding.
[Pro 17:27-28 LSB]

[19] A brother offended [is harder to win over] than a strong city, And contentions are like the bars of a citadel.
[Pro 18:19 LSB]

[39] And there was such a sharp disagreement that they separated from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus.
[Act 15:39 LSB]
