Revelation 1-3

The Revelation of Jesus Christ

[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His slaves the things which must soon happen; and He indicated [this] by sending [it] through His angel to His slave John, [2] who bore witness to the word of God and to the witness of Jesus Christ, [even] to all that he saw. [3] Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy and keep the things which are written in it, for the time is near. [Rev 1:1-3 LSB]

Message to the Seven Churches

[5] and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood-- [6] and He has made us [to be] a kingdom, priests to His God and Father--to Him [be] the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen. [Rev 1:5-6 LSB]

[7] BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM, EVEN THOSE WHO PIERCED HIM; and all the tribes of the earth will MOURN OVER HIM. Yes, amen. [Rev 1:7 LSB]

[13] "I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And came near before Him. [Dan 7:13 LSB]

[10] "And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.  [8] "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." [Rev 1:8 LSB]

[4] "Who has worked and done [it], Calling forth the generations from the beginning? 'I, Yahweh, am the first; and with the last, I am He.'" [Isa 41:4 LSB]

[13] "I am the Alpha and the Omega, THE FIRST AND THE LAST, the beginning and the end." [Rev 22:13 LSB] 

The Vision of the Son of Man

[13] and in the middle of the lampstands [I saw] one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. [14] And His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. [15] His feet [were] like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice [was] like the sound of many waters, [16] and having in His right hand seven stars, and a sharp two-edged sword which comes out of His mouth, and His face was like the sun shining in its power. [Rev 1:13-16 LSB]

[17] And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, "Do not fear; I am the first and the last, [18] and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. [Rev 1:17-18 LSB]

To the Church in Ephesus

[4] 'But I have [this] against you, that you have left your first love. [5] 'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first. But if not, I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent. [Rev 2:4-5 LSB]

[7] 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.' [Rev 2:7 LSB] 

To the Church in Smyrna

[10] 'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. [Rev 2:10 LSB]

When Satan Hurts Christ’s People

To the Church in Pergamum

[14] 'But I have a few things against you, that you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality. [15] 'So you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. [Rev 2:14-15 LSB]

[16] 'Therefore repent. But if not, I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth. [17] 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give [some] of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.' To the Church in Thyatira

[20] 'But I have [this] against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and deceives My slaves so that they commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. [Rev 2:20 LSB]

[25] 'Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come. [Rev 2:25 LSB] 

[26] 'And he who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS; [27] AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received [authority] from My Father; [28] and I will give him the morning star. [Rev 2:26-28 LSB]

[13] "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. [Mat 24:13 LSB] 

[8] 'Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession. [Psa 2:8 LSB]

 [9] 'You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like a potter's vessel.'" [Psa 2:9 LSB]

[16] "I, Jesus, sent My angel to bear witness to you of these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star." [Rev 22:16 LSB]

[19] And we have as more sure the prophetic word, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. [2Pe 1:19 LSB] 

To the Church in Sardis

[4] 'But you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments, and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. [5] 'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments, and I will never erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. [Rev 3:4-5 LSB]

To the Church in Philadelphia

[8] 'I know your deeds. Behold, I have given before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. [Rev 3:8 LSB] 

[12] 'He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of My God, and he will never go out from it anymore. And I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name. [Rev 3:12 LSB]

[1] Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb [was] standing on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. [Rev 14:1 LSB]

[4] and they will see His face, and His name [will be] on their foreheads. [Rev 22:4 LSB] 

To the Church in Laodicea

[19] 'Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent. [20] 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. [Rev 3:19-20 LSB]
