Counted Worthy to Suffer Shame for His Name

Acts 5:40-41

And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten [them], they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Recently I heard about a sister whose parents worried about her faith. I also heard about another sister whose parents were also worried that she and her sister were too zealous for God and the church.

Many brothers and sisters prayed for them and their parents but it might seem that God was not answering their prayers. However I feel otherwise. I am very happy that our sisters were found worthy to suffer hardship for His name. Without the hardship our sisters will not be able to win over their parents to the Lord.

1Cr 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

I heard that the parents of these sisters were really worried about them that their mothers planned to come from Korea and stay with these sisters.

This is really God's doing because it is a great opportunity to preach the gospel to their mothers.

Remembering the sisters who are under heavy burdens, I too want to join in their sufferings for His name.
