The Gospel of the Glory of Christ
2Co 4:3-4 LSB – [3] And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, [4] in whose case the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2Co 4:6 LSB – [6] For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
2Co 4:7, 10 LSB –
[7] But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; ...
[10] always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
The Temporal and Eternal
2Co 5:1 LSB – [1] For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2Co 5:4-5 LSB – [4] For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. [5] Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.
2Co 5:10 LSB – [10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
2Co 5:14-15 LSB – [14] For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died. [15] And He died for all, so that they who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
2Co 5:17 LSB – [17] Therefore if anyone is in Christ, [he is] a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
2Co 5:18-19 LSB – [18] Now all [these] things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, [19] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their transgressions against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
2Co 5:21 LSB – [21] He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Commendable Ministers of God
2Co 6:2 LSB – [2] for He says, "AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"--
2Co 6:16 LSB – [16] Or what agreement has a sanctuary of God with idols? For we are a sanctuary of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
Lev 26:11-12 LSB – [11] 'Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not loathe you. [12] 'I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.
Eze 37:27 LSB – [27] "My dwelling place also will be with them; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.
