What the father needs to do

Job 1:4-5 read:

And his sons went and feasted [in their] houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. And it was so, when the days of [their] feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings [according] to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Today is the New Year's Eve and Esther and Tim are excited about the parties they are planning to attend. Since the winter breaks started and Esther arrived to Korea, they went out each night to meet with their friends.

They are like Job's children who went and feasted in their houses.

What did the father do when his children were enjoying themselves? Job "sanctified them" by rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings.

May I learn from Job how to be a good father!
